Its purpose is to make an argument to viewers that Obama spending, at this point, is worse than any other president.
Its stance is simply that Obama is spending too much in the opinion of the creator.
Its genre is a video that is created at home without commercial backing. It is almost like a cheap public service announcement.
Its audience, it seems, are those who are not traditionally fiscal conservatives. He is trying to make the argument that even to someone who supports an active and involved government, this is too much.
It seems to be somewhat effective, although it gets more confusing when you have to factor in both speed and distance. There also aren't sources for his figures, which is questionable.
Ethos: This video doesn't have much appeal to Ethos, since it is just made by some random guy who doesn't appeal to any specific appeal.
ReplyDeletePathos: This video appeals to Pathos when it discusses driving "174 mph", since most people would be extremely scared to drive so fast.
Logos: This is where the majority of the appeal is. The creator makes a map and uses speed to demonstrate logically how bad it is, in his opinion, that the Obama administration is spending so much money.
